Where It All Began

Built from the Ground Up

I entered the mortgage industry in 1991 with nothing but drive and a willingness to learn. I didn't start at the top — I started at the bottom, and I worked my way through every corner of the business. Origination, processing, underwriting, operations — I've lived it all. That foundation is what makes me different. I don't just know mortgages; I understand them from every angle.

I also built a career in sales as an Account Executive in the wholesale channel, partnering with brokers and building the kinds of business relationships that are grounded in trust, expertise, and results. That experience on the wholesale side gave me a deep understanding of how lenders, brokers, and clients all fit together — and how to make every deal work for everyone involved.

When the market crashed in 2008, I stepped back like so many others. But I came back in 2010 with sharper instincts, deeper empathy for borrowers navigating uncertainty, and an even stronger commitment to doing this work with integrity. Over 30 years later, that commitment hasn't wavered.

A Dream Called Montana

The Long Road to Big Sky Country

Since I was a little girl growing up in California, I knew Montana was where I was meant to be. Wide open skies, honest land, a pace of life that matches what I believe in. But life had its own timeline — kids in sports, a community I loved, roots that ran deep. The time wasn't right, and I honored that.

When the moment finally came, I didn't hesitate. Montana wasn't just a move — it was a homecoming to a place I'd always carried in my heart. Now I get to help Montana residents find their own version of that feeling — whether it's a first home, a ranch, or a piece of land they've been dreaming about for years. This is my state, these are my neighbors, and I am honored to serve them.

Coaching, Community & Youth Sports

A Coach at Heart

Swimming has been a thread woven through my entire life. I competed, I coached, and I watched young athletes discover what they were capable of in the water. I coached swimmers from elementary school through college — and I was right there on the pool deck for all of it. Youth athletes seem to gravitate toward my style, and I think it's because I meet them where they are.

I was deeply involved in booster clubs when my own kids were competing in football, water polo, and swimming. I volunteer in youth sports whenever the opportunity arises because I believe mentorship changes lives. Sports teach discipline, resilience, and teamwork — lessons that carry far beyond any finish line.

Family, Faith & Roots

Everything That Matters

I have a daughter and four sons, two precious new grandbabies who I love to the moon and back, and countless young people that still call me "Mom." Over the years, I opened my home to kids who needed a safe place — teenagers who just needed accountability, love, and someone to believe in them. That's not something I talk about for recognition. It's just who I am. Blessed.

I still have the same group of friends I've had since I was five years old. That says everything about how I value loyalty and connection. My faith is central to everything — I believe God gave me a purpose, and that purpose is to share my knowledge and passion for life and this work with every person I meet.

I am deeply proud of my heritage — Native American, Mexican American, Irish, and Filipino/Polynesian roots that shaped who I am. I was raised in a big, loving family. My parents were together for 57 years before my mother's passing in 2023. That kind of love and commitment is the standard I carry forward.

Horses, Passions & Montana Life

Life on the Ranch

I love horses with everything I have. I'm currently searching for just the right horse to train and ride — especially for when my grandchildren visit. There is something sacred about that bond between a person and a horse, and I can't wait to share it with the next generation.

Beyond the ranch, I'm a music lover, a photographer, an art enthusiast, and a history buff. I'm a massive sports fan — all sports, but especially the Summer Olympics, swimming, baseball, football, soccer, and Montana State Bobcat football. Go Cats! I'm fiercely patriotic and deeply committed to causes I believe in: breast cancer awareness, the protection of wild horses, the wolves of Yellowstone, land conservation, and animal rescue near and far. I have two dogs I love like my own babies.

I love supporting women in business and championing locally owned businesses. I'm goofy, I love life, and I believe joy is meant to be shared.

The Partnership

50+ Years of Combined Expertise

I worked alongside Eric Cheng at LoanDepot Wholesale, where he served as Chief Financial Officer — bringing a level of financial acumen and institutional knowledge that very few people in this industry possess. In 2018 we began collaborating to run BlackMarket Mortgage together. Some partnerships just click — and ours is one of them. We challenge each other, we push each other to be better, and we bring out the best in one another. It was a natural evolution of a relationship built on mutual respect, shared values, and a genuine love for this business and what we do.

Our combined mortgage and finance experience spans over 50 years. That depth of knowledge — across every market cycle, every loan type, every challenge — is what we bring to every single transaction. We are an unstoppable force, and we are here for you.
